Shakeology Cleanse Day #1

 Myself, Train and Darr (my mom) decided to take on the 3 day Shakeology Cleanse together.  It's only 3 days but it is a challenging 3 days, so its so nice to have people to encourage you forward and hold you accountable.  Here is our Day #1 video.
 

We started the day with a green tea and a Shakeology mixed with water, ice and frozen banana.  Mid-morning we each had an apple and then another shake for lunch, mixed only with water and ice.  We had an early dinner of salad and chicken with a low fat salad dressing and later in the evening we enjoyed another shake, mixed with water and ice only and another green tea just before bed.  The shakes are surprisingly quite filling and we found that although we were ready to eat when our next meal time came, we wern't starving.  Day #1 was a success!  We all completed day one of the cleanse and we'll keep you posted about how our next 2 days go!

Another option, an even healthier option for salad dressing would be to make your own.  There are lots of great recipes out there, heres a few ideas to start you off...

 
Lemon Honey Dressing
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil
Blend honey and lemon juice together and slowly whisk in olive oil.
Spicy Sweet Dressing
2 tbsp shallots ~ thinly sliced (or green onions if you prefer)
1 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp chili garlic sauce ~ this is the spicy part and is optional
1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp olive oil
 
Blend all ingredients together.
